Market of Choice

Man. It has been a long time since I made a new entry in my blog. Time seems to just go by and I am not as attentive to blogging as I used to be. I need to get back to making entries more often.

We have a new Market of Choice in Corvallis. Wow.. What a great store. Market of Choice reminds me of Healthy Foods and other stores like that in cities. I visited a Healthy Foods when I was in Denver last summer. Our new Market of Choice is even better and is right here in our little city of Corvallis.

I have been to market of Choice only two times so far, but I have found a great variety of things. I eat gluten free now and they have the most gluten free items I have ever seen. I can eat just about normally with the breads, cinnamon rolls, pancake mix, and so many other gluten free items they carry. I have a cupboard and freezer filled with great foods now that I don't need to spend a lot of time trying to convert to gluten free. Thank you Market of Choice for building a new store in Corvallis.

I took this image from their web page. I know it isn't a very good picture, but I will snap a better photo with my cell phone when I next stop at their store and I will then edit this post with a better picture.

Hello Mr. Jon,

I wrote a comment a while ago, I think I was talking about my PL getting us lost all the time. He turned out to be a good leader after all, though.

I've completed my term of service and am now home. Currently a student, using the Post 9/11 GI bill for school.

I'm a bit older and (I think) much wiser now from the experience. Out of all the stuff I did, the most memorable was funeral detail for my battalion. I was among the seven for the 21 gun salute and sometimes the "bugler", albeit with a trumpet containing a speaker.

I was present at many funerals, from young troopers to old veterans; and I saw that not much changes in the grand scheme of things. From WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Desert Storm/Shield, OIF/OEF, there's always a battle, conflict or war, and young men will pay the price, sooner or later.

Take care,

David

One never is the same after war and combat. Thank you for your service and I am glad you made it back home safely.

Now to get on with the rest of your life...

You are right that not much changes from one war to another. I often wonder why we Americans need to have constant war. Maybe we should try peace for a while?
